$7,200,000 – Weston, MA

No detail was overlooked in the renovation and restoration of this Massachusetts Queen-Anne style mansion. The home, built in 1870, was featured as the cover story in New England Home Magazine, and I can see why. The buyer of this Weston spread will enjoy 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 9,600 square feet, a guest residence, and 3 car garage. The “acclaimed architect” did an impeccable job designing the manse. I must say, this is definitely one of my favorite homes on the market. I am upset that there’s no pool on the 1.71 acre lot, though, because for $7.2 million, I kind of expected one.

Imagine being able to buy the ultimate Paradise Valley party estate. Well, now you can! Built in 1999, this 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom, one-of-a-kind Arizona residence boasts a very neat interior and amazing backyard. Featuring approximately 6,200 square feet of living space, 1.46 acres, a 4 car garage, Mummy Mountain views, swimming pool, and sport court, this place is truly perfect for anyone who likes to entertain. I’m in love with the contemporary design of the interior, it reminds me of a hip, NYC nightclub. Equally as superb, the backyard is a great place to host weekly pool parties and picnics.

Recently reduced in price, this 10,000 square foot, 20-year-old Atlanta spread sports 5 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. The estate includes many fabulous amenities, such as a swimming pool, media room, wine cellar, fitness center, sport court, game room, and 5 fireplaces. It features a stunning, fantastically designed interior, by William T. Baker. I’m attracted to this residence because it’s classy, yet very comfortable and cozy. I would have hoped for more than 1.32 acres, but who cares, look at that pool! Great location too, close to Lenox Square and many other Buckhead attractions.

$14,900,000 – Miami Beach, FL

November 17, 2010 2 comments

For all of you who would like to purchase an older, historic home, rather than a new build, here is a stunning 74-year-old Mediterranean, situated on 0.59 waterfront acres. Located on Sunset Island, the abode, which encompasses about 8,100 square feet, boasts 7 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, gorgeous city views, a dock, and lagoon style pool. With a walk in closet and master bath that will definitely please all, the interior of this estate was exquisitely designed and restored. I find the $14.9 million price tag to be a bit steep, though, even though it is a very well done, tasteful home, and in one of Miami’s toniest areas.

You will appreciate the quality construction of this amazing South Florida residence. Situated on a 0.78 acre parcel, in the Grey Oaks golf community, this Naples mansion sports 6 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, spread out across 8,400 square feet. The 5-year-old, beautifully designed home features a wine cellar, media room, game room, and fitness area. Outside, you will find a swimming pool, spa, and summer kitchen. I really have never seen such a gorgeously decorated house, and I like this place even more than the Canadian retreat we looked at yesterday.

Situated on 4 waterfront lots (2 acres), Villa Madrona is a marvelous 4 bedroom, 11 bathroom British Columbia estate. With a total of 14,000 square feet, the residence features an indoor pool, home theatre, a few entertainment areas, sport court, and boathouse. Many rooms command unspoiled views of the clear, blue Canadian water. Only the finest materials were used in the construction of this masterpiece. I truly cannot think of the right words to describe it. As you can tell, the designer really did have an amazing eye for detail. Look at the photos, and fall in love with this retreat.

$3,950,000 – San Marino, CA

November 15, 2010 1 comment

Originally built in 1928, this Mediterranean was recently restored and designed by architect Emmet Martin. Inside the 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom, 5,300 square foot estate, you will find that all of the old world details are still intact, such as the spiral staircase and handmade entrance gate. Sporting a brand new kitchen, 0.50 acres, a 2 car garage, wine cellar, tennis court, swimming pool, and spa, I’m left wondering how they can be asking only $4 million for this spectacular property. If I could pick it up and move it to Beverly Hills or Newport Beach, it would be 100% perfect.
